Echoes are a vital component in Wuthering Waves, enhancing Resonators’ stats and abilities. They come in ranks from 2 to 5, with higher ranks providing greater stat boosts. Echoes can be leveled up and equipped in sets to grant additional bonuses, making them essential for optimizing your characters.
Echo Sets / Sonata Effects
Echoes are also available in sets, and equipping multiple Echoes from the same set grants additional bonuses to the Resonator. There are nine sets, each offering 2-piece and 5-piece bonuses. Remember that using the same Echo multiple times will not increase set bonuses.

How to get Echoes

- When exploring the overworld, you’ll encounter Tacet Discords. Upon defeating them, there is a chance they will leave behind an Echo (a silhouette of the enemy) for you to absorb. Your Data Dock level influences the drop rate and rarity of these Echoes. By leveling up your Data Dock, you can increase your chances of obtaining higher-quality Echoes.
- Overworld enemies reset at 4 AM server time daily, giving you a new opportunity each day to capture Echoes. To maximize your chances, ensure you defeat these enemies regularly, as each one has the potential to drop an Echo.
- In addition to overworld enemies, Boss enemies (Overlord and Calamity) respawn around two minutes and do not consume stamina when fought. This allows you to engage these bosses repeatedly, providing an indefinite opportunity to collect more Echoes.
Tips for Efficient Echo Farming
- Joining another player’s world allows you to farm more Echoes efficiently. Co-op unlocks at Union Level 22, and since loot in co-op is personal, every player has a chance to get an Echo after a kill. Rotate through different worlds with your friends to maximize your Echo farming potential.
- Take advantage of the daily reset for overworld enemies to farm Echoes consistently. This reset happens at 4 AM (server time) , giving you a daily opportunity to gather more Echoes by defeating refreshed enemies.
- In Data Bank, the Enhanced Drop Rate counter for bosses resets every Monday, granting you 15 chances to significantly increase your odds of extracting the Echo from bosses after defeating them. Prioritize fighting the bosses whose Echoes you need first to save time and maximize your efficiency!
