Its dynamic combat system, especially the unique Intro and Outro Skills, is a key feature that sets Wuthering Waves apart. This guide will delve into these skills, explain how to use them, and provide a list of all the Intro and Outro Skills currently in the game.
What are Intro and Outro Skills?

Intro and Outro Skills are special abilities triggered when you switch Resonators during combat, given that you have full Concerto Energy. These skills enhance your fighting capabilities by creating seamless and potent transitions between Resonators.
When you switch, the outgoing Resonator performs an Outro Skill, and the incoming character executes an Intro Skill simultaneously, allowing for powerful combos and strategic advantages. Some Outro Skills provide beneficial buffs and effects for the incoming character. These can range from increased attack power and healing to elemental damage boosts, making your team more resilient and deadly in combat.
How to use Intro and Outro Skills
How to Use
Build Up Your Concerto Energy
To use these skills, you must gather Concerto Energy. This energy builds up as you engage in combat, with each attack and dodge contributing to the charge.

Once the Concerto Energy bar is full, your characters’ portraits on the right side of the screen will glow white like in the image above, indicating that their Intro and Outro Skills are ready to be activated.
How to Use
Switch Resonators to trigger Intro and Outro Skills
When the Concerto Energy is full, switching characters will trigger their respective Intro and Outro Skills. The outgoing character’s Outro Skill often provides buffs or deals damage, while the incoming character’s Intro Skill initiates a powerful attack.
Some Outro Skills have an indicator that they are active, like Verina’s Outro Skill, where the next character has a greenish mist around them. However, note that not all Outro Skills are retained when constantly switching characters.
Intro Skills can deplete a large portion of the enemy’s toughness bar, so switch Resonators when their Intro Skill is up for use.
How to Level Up Intro and Outro Skills

You can level up Intro Skills through the Forte screen once the Resonator reaches Resonator Rank 2. This is located at the right-most of the Forte screen. Upgrading these skills requires Skill materials and Shell Credits. The higher the level, the higher the resources needed. Outro Skills cannot be upgraded.
