Wuthering Waves has issued a special Voucher of Reciprocal Tides that allows players to take home a 5✯ Resonator of their choice. This is on top of the multiple Lustrous Tides that Kuro Games already issued in light of the early concerns upon the game’s release.
Now, players are focused on getting their choice right (if not perfect) for the once-in-a-lifetime voucher. If you’re wondering which Resonator to pick, here are a few things to consider.
How to claim Voucher of Reciprocal Tides
To claim the special Wuthering Waves 5✯ voucher, you need first be at least Union Level 8. You may claim the voucher in the in-game mail system with a message titled “A Special Thanks from Wuthering Waves Dev Team.”
The Voucher of Reciprocal Tides is available until May 22, 2025 (one year post-release).
Which 5-star characters can be selected?
The 5✯ Resonators available in the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides special event are the same characters in the Targeted Convene banner – Verina, Calcharo, Jianxin, Lingyang, and Encore.
Once you select the Resonator of your choice, you can use the Voucher of Reciprocal Tides to claim your character on the Convene page!
Best 5-star character to pick
First, you should consider picking a Resonator different from your choice in the Targeted Convene Banner (or the first 5✯ you get from the First Resonance novice banner). This would give you a “fuller” team with more options for future meta developments.

Jianxin‘s beauty (aside from her astonishing character design) is in flexibility. She’s an on-field damage dealer and can support the team or self-sustain with her healing. Many consider Jianxin as the “Jack of All Trades” among the pool of current Resonators.
While end-game content typically calls for dedicated damage dealers like Calcharo or healers like Verina, having a multipurpose Resonator like Jianxin may help your team in early-game battles.

5. Lingyang

Lingyang has a great kit for a DPS, but getting used to his floating abilities is quite tricky and even harder to fit him in a viable team rotation. Also, if you use the auto-targeting feature, navigating your basic attacks during his ultimate skill can be challenging.
